A Note on the salient features of the
Department of Extension Education

Extension Activities:

Teaching staff of this college is actively participating in various extension activities like farmers rallies, group discussions, spot guidance regarding control of pests and diseases infestation of food, oilseed and as well as fruit crops. This college has also conducted training programs for increasing the potential of export of spices and grapes. The activities like training to extension worker through workshops and training programs have been organized by this college with the help of the staff of this college. Three training program each on “Mushroom Production “ and “Wormy compost ” was conducted for unemployed youths.

 

 

 

 

With the inception of College of Agriculture, Latur the Department of Extension Education was established. Since then the Department is performing the trinity of the roles of education, research and extension education.
Functions:
1. To impart teaching in extension education at U.G & P.G level.
2. To undertake need based research projects in the field of extension education.
3. To participate in the extension education programmes organized by the college & University.
