H) Significant achievements

1. Mass multiplied and released ten thousand beetles of Zygogramma bicolorata at this campus for the bio-control of Parthenium during 2000-2001 in order to build up its inoculums in this region. Now it is well established in this Marathwada region of Maharashtra state.
2. Identified the important predators of sugarcane white woolly aphid viz.Conobathra
aphidivora, syrphid fly and Micromus sp.3. Maintaining the cultures of Chrysoperla carnea, Mallada boninensis, Trichogramma chilonis, rice moth and mealy bugs
4. Subhan S., Ex- M. Sc. (Agri.) student of this department has been awarded three gold medals viz., Smt. Yashodabai Ramlal Barwale, Hexamar Foundation Medal and Late Shri Ashutosh Jeewanrao Kurtadikar for securing highest C.G.P.A. during 2006-07 at M. Sc. (Agri.) level.
5.Organized the training programmes on Production of Biopesticides and Integrated Pest Management for unemployed youths at the department of Agril. Entomology, College of Agriculture, Latur w.e.f. 10.8.1998 to 30.11.1998.
