The College of Agriculture, Latur has established in the Year 1987 as constituent College of Marathwada Agricultural University Parbhani. The U.G.programme for B.Sc. (Agri.) degree was started for the fresh students of 10 +2+4 with intake capacity of 99 students. The department of Agronomy came into existence of the college of Agriculture Latur with a aim

1. To impart education to students in different faculties to make them sound
graduate.
2. To conduct research and to solve the problems of Marathwada region.
3. To disseminate the results of research work to the rural areas.

Existing staff position:

The department has a well trained and experienced faculty member consisting of one professor, one Associate professor and four Assistant professor and equivalent position where as one post of Assistant Professor is vacant.
